COVID19 VACCINES

Travellers are no longer required to hold a negative test result nor present vaccination certificates upon entry to France. We do, however, advise you to bring along your vaccination certificates to have on hand should they be requested at any point during the journey.

PASSPORTS

You must hold a valid passport to enter France. Your passport should be valid for six months from the date of departure. It is important to note that two clear pages should remain in your passport for it to be valid.

Cash & Credit Cards

Credit cards are widely accepted in Paris, but it is a good idea to have cash on hand for smaller purchases so be sure to have a combination of cash and card.

Gratuities

Gratuities in Paris are generally included in the bill at high-end establishments such as luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale venues. This practice is known as "service compris" or "service included." However, it is customary to leave a small additional tip as a token of appreciation for exceptional service. This extra tip, known as a "pourboire," typically ranges from 5% to 10% of the total bill. It is also common to tip hotel staff, such as concierge, porters, and housekeeping, with a small amount for their assistance. In Paris, tipping is seen as a gesture of goodwill rather than an obligation, and it is always appreciated to acknowledge exceptional service with a gratuity.

Travel Insurance

Paris in July features cooler late nights and early mornings with comfortable to warm afternoons and evenings.
